Silencing the "T" in the LGBT

With #TransVisibilityDay just passing I wanted to speak on a very important topic to me, trans lives. As a member of the (L)GBT community, I can see that the representation, support, protection, and attention is definitely not equal at all when it comes to the "T".

Yes, being gay is slowly becoming normalized, as it should be, but trans lives are still looked down upon more often and considered misunderstood.

It is not fair because the LGBTQ+ community was created as a safe place where gays can feel like they fit in and for trans people to be shut out is going against that. They deserve to be considered normal just like everyone else. This is not a direct attack to the straights because I have discrimination and ignorant comments within the community towards transgender people too, and it's truly disgusting. Oppressing when you are already oppressed is so backwards, but that is a different discussion for a different day.

The issue has been addressed but how can one help fix it and support trans lives more? Become an ally, educate yourself and others, use proper pronouns, and most importantly spread love.
