Bandz a Make Her Dance Video Analysis

The Bandz a Make Her Dance music video was a great example of hypersexualization of women in the form of a stripper joint. In the video, the setting takes place in a strip club with Juicy Jay, Lil Wayne and 2Chainz surrounded by women either dancing, sitting close to them while they rap and/or count money. The lyrics imply that women would provocatively dance or have sex with them for money in return. Even though it is objectifying women, I feel like listening to it as a woman you could take the power back by retraining the thinking and being prideful in using men for money and keeping it moving because at the end of the day it is a hustle. Men have a pattern of thinking that women do certain things just to worship them on some sort of pedestal when in reality the woman gains more in the exchange because they're the ones spending thousands in the strip club.
