4 Easy Steps To Go Vegan

Are you interested in vegan but have no clue where to start? Well, I have four easy steps for you to consider trying to transition!


1. Try meatless Monday's ! Meatless Monday's are a great way to reduce your meat intake, oe day a week can turn into a few days to none! To replace that meaty like taste in your meals, I recommend using faux meats by brands like Beyond Meat and Gardein. They have substitutes for chicken, beef, pork, turkey, and even fish!


2. Switch out your dairy milk for plant-based milks instead! Instead of cow milk, you could substitute for almond, hazel, soy, cashew, coconut, oat milk and plenty others! The best thing is that these milks have more or the appropriate amount o calcium like dairy milk and are accessible. The prices for milks like almond and soy milk are very cheap and last months at a time, cold or dry!


3. Try baking with egg substitutes! Did you know there are over 10 substitutes for eggs ? Apple sauce, banana, chia seeds, softened tofu, ground flax, vegan yogurt, arrowroot, aquafaba, nut butter, agar-agar, and vinegar+baking soda are a few!


4. Watch vegan documentaries, speeches, and informative videos. I would recommend Earthlings (YouTube) , What the Health, Forks over Knives, and Cowspiracy (Netflix). These documentaries talk about how a plant-based diet has reversed health problems, the secrets of the meat, dairy, and egg industry, racism within the food industry, and the slaughter of millions of animals and how it is morally wrong and hurts the environment.
